Sleepwalker II and Sleepwalker III Skt. Petri Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark |
The old department store, Daells Varehus, has been transformed into Skt. Petri Hotel. The hotel was designed by the Swedish architectural firm Millimeter Arkitekter in association with the studio of Danish architect Erik Møller. The Danish artist Per Arnoldi`s design and art also play an important role in lending the hotel its modern classical style. The sculptures Sleepwalker II and III (above) are by the British-Norwegian artist Andrew Barton. The five star hotel is situated in the heart of Copenhagen near the famous shopping street, Strøget. Skt. Petri also became the first Danish member of Design Hotels in Jan. 2005. |
